MPO Committees The San Antonio-Bexar County area transportation planning process is conducted by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The Transportation Policy Board (TPB) is the official decision making body of the process. The MPO committee is served by four advisory committees: the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), the Bicycle Mobility Advisory Committee (BMAC), the Pedestrian Mobility Advisory Committee (PMAC), and the Strategic Geospatial Coordination Committee (SGCC). The Policy Board has the ultimate authority on transportation planning matters, but the advisory committees' work and recommendations shape the outputs of the transportation planning process.
