2.         Director’s Report (Audio)

 

a.         The MPO’s FY 2010 Audit was conducted on March 7th through March 18th and the report is scheduled to be presented at the April 25th Transportation Policy Board meeting

b.         The MPO’s Joint Federal Certification Review will be held on April 26-27 and a             public listening session on the MPO’s planning process will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25th in the Community Room at the VIA Metro Center located at 1021 San Pedro.  Additionally, a comment form can be downloaded from the MPO’s website at www.sametroplan.org completed and sent to the federal team

c.         Fresh Air Friday will be held on Friday, April 1st from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Main Plaza

d.         Walk & Roll to Work Rally will be held on Friday, May 20th from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at Main Plaza

e.         MPO Office will be closed on April 15th for Battle of Flowers and April 22nd in observance of Good Friday

3.         Discussion and Appropriate Action on the Appointment of State Delegation Members to serve on the MPO Transportation Policy Board

 

            This item will be placed on the April 25th meeting agenda.

 

 

4.         Approval of the February 28, 2011 Meeting Minutes (Audio)

 

            February 28, 2011 Meeting Minutes (PDF)

 

                        Mayor Chris Riley amended the February 28, 2011 to include the following statement to Agenda Item 5 regarding the action on an amendment to the Long Range Transportation Plan (Metropolitan Transportation Plan): “Mayor Chris Riley objected to the process on the basis that all projects should be handled in the same fair, equitable manner.” Ms. Gloria Arriaga seconded the motion. 

 

Councilwoman Jennifer Ramos moved and Mayor Chris Riley seconded the motion to approve the amended February 28, 2011 meeting minutes.  The motion was unanimously approved.   

 

 

5.                  Discussion and Appropriate Action on the Fiscal Agreement between the MPO and Bexar County (Audio)

 

Ms. Gloria Arriaga moved and Mayor Chris Riley seconded the motion to authorize the MPO to execute the fiscal agreement with Bexar County.  The motion was unanimously approved.

 

 

 

6.         Discussion and Appropriate Action on Amendments to the Long Range Transportation Plan (Metropolitan Transportation      Plan) and the Short Range Transportation Plan (FY 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program) (Audio)

At any time during the meeting of the MPO Transportation Policy Board, the Board reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time to discuss any of the matters listed on the posted agenda, as authorized by Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (consultation with attorney), Section 551.072 (deliberations about real property), Section 551.074 (personnel matters), and Section 551.086 (economic development).
