a.         Update on the MPO’s Lease Agreement

b.         Appointment of the State Legislative Representatives to the Transportation Policy Board is scheduled to occur at the January 24, 2011 meeting

c.         The MPO Office will be closed on Christmas Eve, Friday December 24th, on New Year’s Eve, Friday, December 31st and Monday January 17, 2011 in recognition of Martin Luther King Day.

 

 

3.         Approval of the October 25, 2010 Meeting Minutes (PDF)

 

Gloria Arriaga moved and Councilman John Clamp seconded the motion to approve the October 25, 2010 Meeting Minutes.  The motion was unanimously approved.  

 

 

All items under the Consent Agenda are acted upon collectively unless opposition is presented, in which case, the contested item will be considered, discussed and appropriate action taken separately.

 

4.         Discussion and Appropriate Action on Revisions to MPO Policies and By-Laws

Mayor Chris Riley moved and Councilman John Clamp seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion was unanimously approved.

7.         Discussion and Appropriate Action on a Resolution of Support Regarding Transportation Funding at the State Level

 

                       

For presentation and discussion only.  Action will be scheduled until Senator Jeff Wentworth’s Bill is filed.

 

 

8.         Discussion and Appropriate Action on the Appointment of a Transportation Policy Board Committee to Review the Applications Submitted for the Vacant, Non-Governmental, Ex-Officio Alternate Position

                       

                       

Councilwoman Jennifer Ramos moved and Councilman John Clamp seconded the motion to appoint Councilman William Weeper, Ms. Gloria Arriaga, and Councilman Ray Lopez as members of Transportation Policy Board to serve on the Nominating Committee. The motion was unanimously approved.

 

                       

9.         Discussion and Appropriate Action on Amendments to Budgets for MPO Funded Projects under construction

 

 

Councilman John Clamp moved and Ms. Mary Briseño seconded the motion to approve Amendments to Budgets for MPO Funded Projects under construction. The motion was unanimously approved. Mario Medina and Clay Smith voted against.

 

 

10.       Discussion and Appropriate Action on Revisions to the MPO’s Policy 6:  Guidelines for Programming Projects in the Transportation Improvement Program

 

 

Councilman John Clamp moved and Mayor Chris Riley seconded the motion to approve revisions to MPO Policy 6:  Programming Projects in the Transportation Improvement Program.  Mario Medina and Clay Smith voted against.

 

 

11.       Demonstration of Kids Activity Pages on the MPO’s Website

 

 

For information only.  No action is being requested.

 

 

12.       Discussion and Appropriate Action on Amendments to the Long Range Transportation Plan (Metropolitan Transportation Plan) and the Short Range Transportation Plan (FY 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program) (PDF)

At any time during the meeting of the MPO Transportation Policy Board, the Board reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time to discuss any of the matters listed on the posted agenda, as authorized by Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (consultation with attorney), Section 551.072 (deliberations about real property), Section 551.074 (personnel matters), and Section 551.086 (economic development).
