a. The MPO’s Joint Federal Certification Review will be held on April 26-27, 2011 and a public listening session on the MPO’s planning process will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25th in the Community Room at the VIA Metro Center located at 1021 San Pedro. Additionally, a comment form can be downloaded from the MPO’s website at www.sametroplan.org completed and sent to the federal team.
b. The MPO Nominating Committee to Recommend a Chair and Vice Chair for the term of June 2011 through May 2013 is scheduled to be appointed at the May 2011 TPB meeting
c. The MPO Office will be closed on May 30th in observance of Memorial Day

Hearing no changes, Commissioner Tommy Adkisson stated the March 28, 2011 meeting minutes were approved as distributed.

Discussion and Appropriate Action on Amendments to the
Metropolitan Transportation Plan & FY 2011-2014 Transportation Improvement Program (PDF)
Councilman Bill Weeper moved and Mayor Chris Riley seconded the motion to approve the Consent Agenda. The motion was unanimously approved.

Councilman John Clamp moved and Mayor Chris Riley seconded the motion to approve the Audit Report for Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2010 as presented. The motion was unanimously approved.

Mayor Chris Riley moved and Ms. Mary Briseño seconded a motion to have the Executive Committee discuss potential projects for suburban cities and partner agencies. The motion failed.
Councilman John Clamp moved and Councilman Bill Weeper seconded the motion to move forward with the IH 10 Projects and bring them back to the Transportation Policy Board in a one-step amendment process. The motion was approved.
Mayor Chris Riley moved and Councilman John Clamp seconded a motion to approve the Walk & Roll Resolution. The motion was unanimously approved.

At any time during the meeting of the MPO Transportation Policy Board, the Board reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time to discuss any of the matters listed on the posted agenda, as authorized by Texas Government Code Section 551.071 (consultation with attorney), Section 551.072 (deliberations about real property), Section 551.074 (personnel matters), and Section 551.086 (economic development).
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
