Air Quality Monitoring

The SA-BC MPO study area currently has several Continuous Air Quality Monitoring Systems (CAMS) that record ozone levels daily. EPA utilizes a three-year rolling average to determine our air quality status. San Antonio has three “regulatory” ozone CAMS, which are San Antonio Northwest (C23), Camp Bullis (C58), and Calaveras Lake (C59). We also have several other CAMS that are “non-regulatory” at this time.

In order to remain in attainment, the area will need a rolling three-year, fourth highest annual average of no greater than 75 parts per billion (ppb)
